After a difficult year working from home during the pandemic, we were delighted to all go back to the office, meet each other in person again and have our first team meeting and team building in person.

On Friday, July 16, 2021, OmniVis organized our midyear team meeting. This is a meeting that everyone looks forward to each quarter, one in which we get to reflect on what we have accomplished in the last 3 months and our ability to meet the goals we had set. It is a time where we come together to answer the questions: What do we need to do next? What are OmniVis’s overall mission and vision and how is each person contributing to these goals?
And most of all, it’s a time to celebrate successes.

We have not been idle over the first 6 months of 2021!

1. We hired additional awesome team members.
Juan Ayala and Garry Valadez joined our team in January and February of this year. Juan is bringing our electronics to the next level and Garry prepared us for the manufacturing of our device and test kit in collaboration with the rest of our team. Garry also worked with our Senior Scientist to implement a QMS system as we gear up for FDA approval.

We have welcomed 7 interns over the last 6 months. From Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering to Computer Science, it has been a pleasure working with all of our interns! Thank you, Abby, Kevin, Stella, Riley, Sophia, Ryan, and Roberto! You have been an amazing group of people and we hope to see more of you in the future.

We are currently looking for two additional colleagues to be a part of this amazing team. Are you an experienced Chief Commercialization Officer or Molecular Biologist? Check out our job descriptions and apply to be part of our world-class team!

2. We moved from our offices in San Francisco to a brand new lab space in South San Francisco. Known as the birthplace of Biotechnology, South San Francisco makes us feel right at home!

3. We are raising a Seed round!
OmniVis has big plans, and we couldn’t do it without investors who support us along the way.
Interested in knowing more about our Seed round and how you can invest? Reach out to our CEO Katherine Clayton: kclayton@omnivistech.com

4. Manufacturing, manufacturing, manufacturing!
Our scientists and engineers have been giving their all and we have found some great partners to manufacture our products. We are getting ready to deliver our device and test kits to you and communities worldwide. We are putting the lab in the palm of your hands, equipping communities around the globe with the power and knowledge to protect their health.

OmniVis is well on the way to delivering our solution, aiming to create a world where proactive disease detection advances the health of communities and cultivates a safer world for future generations!

After an interesting team meeting the team headed to the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, where we had a picnic, played some team building games, Kubb, and enjoyed drinks together!
